ATB 500.54

Since installation of the first prototype in 1997, wind turbines with total capacity of over 20 MW have been installed with successful operation in Germany, Austria and Canada.
The ATB Wind Power Turbines reflect a well-proven German wind turbine design with an excellent performance documented through several years of field operation. The turbines incorporate state-of-the-art technologies at the forefront of current wind power generation systems.
ATB Wind Turbines Technology
Our technical breakthrough is based on a unique hybrid concept which combines the advantages and simplicity of a robust German engineered gearbox with a high-speed synchronous permanent magnet generator, leading to an optimal generation output.
Bankable and Investment-Ready
In a continuously changing market, strength of covenant and manufacturer warranties and services have become key to finance wind energy projects.
The company provides an end-to-end service to manufacture, install, operate, and maintain our ATB wind turbines, providing complete accountability and a high degree of reliability with its ATB Wind Service lifetime plan. Our technical excellence and client-oriented support put ATB 500.54 and ATB 750.54 turbines at the top of the market for “under 1 MW wind turbine” projects in the UK and elsewhere.
High Efficiency
Our ATB 500.54 wind turbine are specifically designed for wind zone IEC III A, reaching a rated output of 500 KW at a wind speed of only 10.8 m/s. With an oversize rotor of 54 m, the ATB500 wind turbine captures more energy at lower wind speeds compared to most of the other models in the market.
Advanced Pitch Control
ATB wind pitch control system automatically and synchronously adjusts the pitch of each blade to optimize the efficiency. The blade adjustment is made extremely quickly, reacting to changes in wind conditions within around 0.1 seconds.
Blade and Nacelle
Our advanced blade design contributes to optimization of power generation. The technology has also an integrated slow speed shaft that reduces the space constraints in the nacelle by avoiding main bearing and lengthier slow speed shaft.
Advanced Cooling System
ATB Wind Turbines is equipped with a specialized cooling system that guarantees continuous and efficient operations in diverse climatic conditions. This feature is a must for varying temperature conditions across regions.
With a state-of-the-art pitch control system, an oversize rotor to capture more energy at lower wind speeds, and the latest breakthroughs in wind turbines design efficiency, the ATB 500.54 design fulfills the demand for a reliable and high performing 500KW wind turbine. This design stands to become the technology of choice for this power range.
ATB Wind offers full support for the construction and commissioning of its turbines as well as a lifetime Operation and Maintenance service focused on maximizing performances and assuring technical availability to guarantee highly efficient energy production.
